Four in hospital as police seek witnesses to Beenleigh collision

Four people are in hospital after a car and ute collided south of Brisbane on Friday night.

Security cameras captured the moment a man driving a ute collided with a car whose driver was allegedly making an illegal u-turn at the intersection of Logan River Road and Harburg Road in Beenleigh.

The front seat passenger of the car, a 17-year-old woman, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital, along with the 21-year-old female driver and two other passengers who sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The 21-year-old man driving the ute suffered minor injuries. Forensic crash officers are investigating whether he was speeding to make the light when the collision occurred.

No one has been charged.
