Four firefighters injured during Victorian building blaze

Four volunteer firefighters have been injured while battling a building fire in Sale, Victoria.

Two men from the CFA (Country Fire Authority) were taken to The Alfred Hospital with serious injuries after fighting the fire on Dawson Road about 9am.

Another two volunteers, a man and a woman, are being treated in Gippsland.

The CFA said they were providing “support” to the families of the injured volunteers.

“It highlights the dangers to which our firefighters are subjected to daily as they protect Victorian communities,” a CFA statement read.
