Four boat turn backs since May
AAP
Australian authorities have intercepted four people-smuggling ventures since May.
The total number of boat turn backs under Operation Sovereign Borders has reached 29 with 740 people returned to departure countries.
Operation commander Major General Andrew Bottrell told a Senate estimates hearing on Monday there was still a risk that roughly 15,000 asylum seekers and refugees in limbo in Indonesia could be targeted by people smugglers to board unsafe boats to Australia.
