Three people, dog stabbed in home invasion in Forest Lake, police investigating potential link to Fortitude Valley stabbings

An alleged home invasion which left three people and a dog with knife wounds could be linked to a stabbing spree in Brisbane's nightlife precinct on the weekend.

At about 5pm yesterday, four men arrived at a home at Ballandean Court, Forest Lake, police said.

Investigators will allege the men demanded the occupants hand over an e-scooter, and when they refused an altercation occurred where the victims armed themselves with shovels and the men produced knives.

Three victims from the home sustained puncture wounds and were transported to hospital, one was seriously injured.

A dog residing at the property was allegedly stabbed during the incident and is undergoing emergency veterinary treatment.

Three people have been arrested and are assisting police with inquiries.

Officers are also investigating whether the alleged home invasion is linked to a series of separate stabbings in Fortitude Valley the night before.

Police believe the victims were targeted after leaving venues just after 3.20am yesterday.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said the offenders had the intent of robbing the victims of their belongings.

Detectives have charged a 17-year-old Bundamba boy after a man was stabbed.

It's alleged the boy was with four men when they confronted a 21-year-old Rothwell man on Constance Street.

One of the men allegedly stabbed the 21-year-old in the abdomen, leaving the knife snapped off inside him, and the 17-year-old boy allegedly stole the man's gold necklace.

Police became involved when the 21-year-old man went to the Fortitude Valley police station asking for help, suffering a major stab wound to his back and a collapsed lung.

Two others were allegedly stabbed, one in the back and the other in his forearm, nearby about the same time on Constance, Ann and Wickham streets.

All three men were taken to hospital, two of them in a serious condition.

The alleged offenders fled the scene.

Massingham said five men believed to be in a group allegedly robbed the victims while they were walking out of venues.

"That was particularly brutal, particularly violent, and callous in the way it was conducted," he said.

"The nature of the offending is on another level."

Crime scenes were declared in all locations and police continued to conduct extensive patrols.

A knife was recovered from bushes near one of the crime scenes.

The 17-year-old Bundamba boy was charged with one count each of robbery with violence, grievous bodily harm and stealing.

He will appear in the Childrens Court in Brisbane this morning.
