Queensland chief scientist 'used corporate card' to rack up $30k in personal items

Queensland public servant Suzanne Miller is accused of racking up more than $30,000 on her government-funded credit card.

The chief scientist and CEO of Queensland Museums has been charged with 31 counts of fraud after a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation.

Court documents reveal that she is accused of "dishonestly applying to her own use" to items belonging to Queensland Museum including a drone, polaroid camera, a scooter and a drum kit between 2014 and 2017.

Other items she is accused of buying are an industrial cleaner, a model solar system and pink LED lights.

The 52-year-old was stood aside last year after the corruption watchdog charged her with fraudulently claiming $45,000 worth of private health care benefits.

She said nothing as she left court, charging though the waiting media pack.

Ms Miller will face court again next month.
