Former prison guard charged with biting her Rebels bikie ex-boyfriend during a fight
A former prison officer who recently escaped jail time over a relationship she had with an inmate, is now charged with assaulting her bikie ex-boyfriend, a man she also met on the inside.
Melissa Maree Goodwin, 26, is accused of biting Rebels bikie Caleb Valeri during an argument at his home in Liverpool, in Sydney's west, in September.
Today, Ms Goodwin, who now works as a personal trainer, told 9News she will vigorously defend the charges.

"I'm the victim so I'll be pleading not guilty," she said.
Goodwin met Valeri when she was working as a guard at Silverwater Correctional Complex and started dating him after his release.

In August this year the former corrective services poster girl was sentenced to 100 hours of community service for a fling with another prisoner, armed robber Corey London.

A court heard she wrote him a love letter and shared secret phone calls but denied a sexual relationship.

The 26-year-old from Ingleburn has pleaded not guilty to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and will fight the apprehended violence order that's been taken out against her.
Goodwin is set to face a hearing here at Liverpool Court in June next year.
