Frozen meals recalled from stores over major packaging error

A crucial packaging error has triggered the recall of a range of popular frozen meals sold at supermarkets.

Customers who have bought three Patties Food Group On The Menu Entree products are advised by Food Standards Australia (FSA) to return the product for a full refund.

The recall notice was issued because of concerns the tray may melt during cooking.

"The recall is due to an error on the packaging. Oven cooking instructions are not compatible with the product tray," FSA said.

If these instructions are followed, the tray may melt, customers were warned.

The recalled products include the following: On the Menu Entrée 3 Cheese Macaroni (260g) with best-before dates: 27/03/26 and 14/03/26; On The Menu Entrée Beef Lasagne (260g), with best-before dates: 12/03/26 and 20/03/26; On The Menu Entrée Spaghetti & Meatballs (260g) - with the best-before date: 19/03/26.

They were sold at Woolworths, Coles, No Waste Australia and independent retailers including IGA.

Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The product is safe to eat if microwave guidelines are followed.
