Five-year-old struck by mother’s car in Sydney driveway

A mother has struck her five-year-old son in the driveway of her home in Sydney’s north-west this afternoon.

The 41-year-old woman was operating  her car in the driveway of her home when it struck the boy just before 5pm.

The woman then proceeded to take her son to hospital but stopped on Crane Road in Castle Hill to seek assistance from NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital.

His injuries are unknown.

The Hills Local Area Command police officers and paramedics were in attendance.

Inquiries are ongoing.
