Five men arrested after motorway shots
Five men have been arrested after shots were fired at a truck as two cars pulled up beside it on a motorway on the NSW Central Coast.
Police say that shortly before 2am (AEDT) on Tuesday the truck was travelling north on the M1 at Ourimbah when a Nissan Navara utility pulled up on one side and a Mercedes-Benz on the other.
"It will be alleged that an occupant inside the Nissan fired a number of shots at the truck," police said in a statement.
Police were called and stopped all three vehicles nearby.
The man and woman inside the truck were not injured.
Three men, aged 31, 34 and 36, were arrested from the Nissan, and two men, aged 30 and 46, were arrested from the Mercedes-Benz.
A firearm was allegedly located inside the Nissan.
The arrested men were taken to Gosford Police Station where they are assisting police with their inquiries.
