A wall has collapsed in a Melbourne shopping centre, injuring six. (9NEWS) 

Two people have been taken to hospital and four others have been injured after a wall collapsed in a Melbourne shopping centre this afternoon.

A temporary wooden wall surrounding a workspace fell over inside Cranbourne Shopping Centre at about 12.30pm (AEST), striking five shoppers and one worker.

A woman in her 80s was hit on the head and taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.

A man in his 50s, also hit on the head, was taken to Casey Hospital in a stable condition.

Four others including a man in his 50s, a woman in her 30s and a woman in her 40s, have been treated at the scene.

Worksafe Victoria is investigating.
