'Five bikies' charged over Cairns brawl

Five men from NSW believed to be linked to the Lone Wolves bikie gang will face court in Cairns after a security guard was assaulted at a nightclub.

The guard was trying to evict a group of men from the Grafton Street club in the early hours of Sunday when he had a glass bottle smashed over his head, leaving him with a cut to his head and ear, police say.

Two men, aged 32 and 34, have been charged with affray and another three men, aged 21, 22 and 24, have been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm in company. They are due to face Cairns Magistrates Court on Monday.
