Rare whale shark sighting off NSW coast

Two fishermen got to experience a rare sighting of a whale shark off the New South Wales coast.

Whale sharks are a great tourist attraction in Western Australia but are rarely seen on the east coast.

In a boat off Broughton Island near Hawks Nest, two fishermen watched and even touched an eight-metre whale shark bobbing beneath their boat.
