First trailer drops for all-female Ghostbusters reboot
The trailer for the all-female Ghostbusters reboot has finally dropped after months of anticipation.
The film, directed by Paul Feig, stars Bridesmaids alumni Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, and Saturday Night Live favourites Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.
Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth will also star in the film.
The trailer kicks off with homages to the original film, including a shot of the famous firehouse and an all-too-familiar ghost encounter where the extra-terrestrial expels slime over one of the protagonists.
New jumpsuits, a new ride, a Chinese restaurant HQ and New York City streets filled with ghosts to bust are all featured heavily throughout the two-and-a-half minute clip.
The film will also include cameos from original cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroud, Sigourney Weaver and Ernie Hudson.
Ghostbusters will open in Australian cinemas on July 14.
