First streaker on new Adelaide Oval

A 47-year-old man has claimed the title of the first streaker on the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.

Police say the man entered the arena at about 8.30am, walked to the centre square, stripped off and ran to the northern goals before heading back to retrieve his clothes.

He was detained by security officials and later charged with indecent behaviour, and banned from attending Adelaide Oval for three months.

"While this man may have the kudos of being the first streaker on the new Adelaide Oval, let's hope he is the last," Superintendent Graeme Adcock said.

The oval will host its first AFL showdown between Port Power and the Adelaide Crows this weekend.
