Firearms seized after confrontation in NSW
Police have seized 14 firearms and charged a man with using a gun under the influence of alcohol, following a neighbourhood dispute in NSW's Hunter region.
Police allege a 32-year-old man went to house at West Wallsend near Lake Macquarie on Wednesday night and confronted and threatened the occupants with a gun before fleeing.
At about 8.30pm (AEDT) on Thursday, police arrested a man at a house in the same street and seized 14 licensed firearms.
He was charged with stalking/intimidation, handle or use firearm under the influence of alcohol and use unauthorised firearm.
The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear in Toronto Local Court on February 19.
He was also served with a personal violence protection order and had his firearms licence suspended.
