Firearm stolen from rural NSW property

A firearm has been stolen from a rural property in central NSW, police say.

The weapon was allegedly taken from a firearm cabinet at a property in Woodstock, near Cowra, on Friday.

A 62-year-old man contacted police after noticing the weapon was missing.

The property will be examined by specialist forensic officers.

Police are urging anyone with information about the firearm to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
