Trick or treat? Fiona the hippo chows down on pumpkin
Fiona the hippo and several elephants have enjoyed a Halloween feast at Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens in the United States.
Video shows the social-media famous hippo being fed a large, orange pumpkin at the zoo this morning.
In one go, a hungry Fiona chomps down on the snack, before disappearing underwater.
Several elephants were also shown using there long trunks to burst open a suspended goody bag chock-full of ‘ghoulish’ gourds, ahead of the Halloween holiday on October 31.
Fiona is widely regarded as the star attraction at Cincinnati Zoo, garnering thousands of likes on the zoo’s Instagram page.
She was born in January two months premature, and there were originally fears she may not survive.
Much to the relief of zoo keepers and thousands of people following her story, Fiona has gone on to prosper as a juvenile hippo.
