Finding Dory trailer released with first look at film’s plot
The first trailer for Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory has been released, giving fans a sneak peek into what’s to come.
The trailer opens with everyone’s favourite forgetful fish ‘sleep swimming’ as her old pals Marlin and Nemo try to stop her from getting lost in her stupor.
The clip is just under two minutes long and gives a preview of the movie, which promises a look into Dory’s past.
“Don’t cry mummy, don’t cry,” Dory mumbles in her sleep in the opening shot.
“I remembered something!” she shouts at Marlin in another scene from the film.
“My family!” she shouts.
“They’re out there somewhere, I have to find them!”
The film will follow the lovable trio as they set off on an adventure to help Dory find her family as she tries to remember moments from her past.
Fans have been waiting for the sequel since it was announced in 2013, ten years after the release of Finding Nemo.
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will reprise her role as the voice of Dory for the film which also welcomes new cast members, including Modern Family stars Ty Burrell and Ed O’Neill.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actress Kaitlin Olson will play Destiny, a whale shark who wants to be a dolphin.
The film is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2016.
