Financial complaint model under review
AAP
The way complaints about financial services and superannuation are handled will come under scrutiny over the next eight months.
The federal government has launched an independent review of the financial ombudsman service, the superannuation complaints tribunal, and the credit and investments ombudsman for a report at the end of March 2017.
The review panel will examine how effective the existing model is in dealing with complaints and whether any other way could work better.
