Arrival of Indonesian fighter jets in Bali an ominous sign for Sukumaran and Chan as execution nears

The arrival of Indonesian fighter jets in Bali has prompted speculation they are preparing to escort or transfer Bali Nine death row inmates Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan to the prison island Nusakambangan.
Four Air Force Sukhoi jets were spotted at Denpasar International Airport in Bali’s capital, News Corp reported.
It is unknown whether Sukumaran and Chan will be transferred in the jets, or whether they will travel via helicopter and be escorted by the military aircraft.
The pair are unlikely to travel by boat to the island.
It is understood the pair’s families have been told the transfer will “definitely happen” this week.
Once they have arrived on the island, the duo will have 72 hours’ notice prior to their execution by firing squad.
