Ferocious fire destroys Dandenong home

Police are investigating after fire destroyed a home in Dandenong, south-east of Melbourne, overnight.

Emergency services were called to the home on Neasham Drive in Dandenong North just before 3am, after a passer-by raised the alarm.

The owners were not home at the time of the fire.

Police are treating the blaze as suspicious and have called in arson chemists to examine the scene.
