Federal election voters get in early

The number of pre-poll votes is up more than 40 per cent on the 2013 election.
Australian Electoral Commission data updated on Thursday shows 2.15 million pre-poll votes have been cast and just under 1.5 million postal ballots have been issued.
The pre-poll figure is up 44 per cent on the previous election.
