* Prime Minister Turnbull: Frankston in Melbourne's outer southern fringe. Located in the Liberal seat of Dunkley, being vacated by former small business minister Bruce Billson.

* Labor leader Bill Shorten: Rockhampton in the electorate of Capricornia. It's the government's second most marginal seat in parliament with a slim 0.8 per cent margin.

Australia's free-trade agreements; the tax cut for small business and its plan for jobs and growth.

Its plan to fully finance the Gonski schools funding plan.
