Fears Newcastle unit will collapse after being destroyed by fire
A two-level complex has been destroyed by a fire in Newcastle but now emergency services are concerned the entire building will collapse.
Firefighters battled a two-level unit fire on Fraser Parade in Charlestown near Newcastle around 4am this morning.
It took crews two hours to extinguish the blaze.

Crews are working to stabilise the home amid fears it will collapse. Fire and Rescue NSW
They were also able to stop the fire from spreading through the whole block.
But now, Fire and Rescue NSW warned there are concerns parts of the building will collapse.
