Farmer's lobby names new CEO

The peak farmer's lobby has a new chief executive in former Kraft-Cadbury executive Simon Talbot.

Talbot will take over the top job at the National Farmers Federation (NFF) from Matt Linnegar, who stepped down in July after three years.

The former state government adviser more recently headed regional corporate affairs for Mondelez International for seven years.

The latest leadership change at the NFF comes after the presidency of the federation switched three times in 2013.
