Fans finally get the chance to really wake up with the TODAY Show team

Fans of the TODAY Show are well-versed in the slogan “I Wake Up With TODAY” – and now a new iPhone app will make the statement a reality.

The alarm clock app will let TODAY viewers across the country literally wake up to the sounds of their favourite host.

The hosts cringed this morning as a selection of their voice recordings were put to air on the show.

Lisa Wilkinson laughed and covered her face before apologising.

"I forgotten what I'd said," Wilkinson laughed, "Sorry about that".

TODAY news presenter Sylvia Jeffreys laughed off her Ron Burgundy impression asking "When did we do that? I think I was really tired. Oh I would have vetoed that one."

The alarm features recorded messages from Wilkinson, Jeffreys, Karl Stefanovic, Richard Wilkins, Tim Gilbert, Deb Knight, Cameron Williams, Steven Jacobs or Ross Greenwood.

“Morning, I know, it was a great dream, it was fantastic, but the good news is it’s a brand new day and it’s time to get up. Tell George Clooney you’ll be back tonight. But now it’s time to get up,” Wilkinson whispers.

“Alrighty then,” Stefanovic cackles, “Don’t hate me, don’t hate me. I know, don’t hate me though, don’t throw it, don’t get cranky. It is time to get up though. Out you go, turn on the TODAY show, get yourself a coffee, let’s go!”
