Police hunt men after gun threat in western sydney

Two men with guns allegedly threatened a 59-year-old man in the western Sydney suburb of Fairfield West last night.

Police were called to a home on Thorney Road at 6pm.

The front door was slammed shut before a shot was heard and the men ran from the scene, police said.

Six adults, the 59-year-old, his wife, their two sons and their partners, were inside.

Nobody was injured.

Police used dogs to investigate and seized a shell casing.

They're hunting two men carrying firearms, who were wearing dark clothing with their faces partially covered.

Police say they should not be approached, and anyone who sees them should contact them immediately.
