Extra testing on tinned peaches: govt

First it was frozen berries, now it's imported tinned peaches in the spotlight.
The government has ordered increased testing after Australian-based processor SPC Ardmona provided the federal government with evidence of food safety breaches.
The company claimed some imported food tins contained lead.

"Once more we are pro-actively scoping the marketplace," Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce told reporters in Canberra on Thursday.
