WHAT WE LEARNT:

* It's still government policy to abolish the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency. The Senate has another view.

* Australia's 2030 carbon emissions reduction target of 26-28 per cent on 2005 levels won't be altered at the UN climate summit in Paris. That applies to every country attending, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said.

* Australia does not recognise the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, a de facto independent but unrecognised state of Azerbaijan, Bishop said in response to a question from Liberal MP Luke Simpkins.
