Ex-PM Tony Abbott discusses wedding plans with newly engaged daughter
Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott and his newly engaged daughter Frances poked fun at the reaction of her news of engagement has caused.
Frances, 26, posted a video on Instagram of the pair as they strolled around Forestville in northern Sydney.
She filmed herself asking: “What did we just do?”
“'We've just been on a nice walk through the backstreets of Forestville,” Mr Abbott replied.
“We talked about all sorts of things… including wedding plans,” he pretended to say through gritted teeth.
She announced her shock engagement to tattooed Olympic rower Sam Loch, 34, just two weeks after meeting him.
And rival politicians have enjoyed what they presumed would be Abbott’s discomfort.
Mr Abbott reposted the father-daughter moment on Twitter, captioning it “Early morning walk in Forestville with Francie”.
