Girl fighting for life after being hit by car in Melbourne's north

A child is battling life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Melbourne's north yesterday.
Detectives say the girl was allegedly hit by a 4WD on Rufus Street in Epping about 3pm.
The driver stopped at the scene to help her.

She suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
