The two women also allegedly attacked the police sent to arrest them at the Elizabeth bus and train interchange.
The 34-year-old security guard was slashed on the arm after chasing the pair, who had allegedly concealed stolen Lego sets and clothing in cardboard waste bin boxes.

Witnesses say after the alleged attack, the two women sat waiting for a Gawler train to arrive, but when one did, its driver refused to depart.
The women, both aged 27, were apprehended by police patrols shortly after, only for one of the women to allegedly assault an officer who was arresting her.
She was charged with assault causing harm, resisting arrest, and assaulting a prescribed emergency service worker.
