Elderly Queensland woman bashed and robbed by home intruder

A 91-year-old woman has been bashed and robbed at her home in Springsure in Queensland's Central Highlands.

Police say a man entered the property through an unlocked rear door at around 8.30pm on Saturday and seriously assaulted the woman before fleeing.

The woman was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
