Elderly man dies after hit by Vic train

An elderly man has died after being hit by a train as he tried to cross a Melbourne railway track.
The man, whose identity has not been confirmed, was crossing the Edithvale railway station tracks on a bike when he was hit on Tuesday afternoon.
The man died at the scene, police said.
