Huge crowd of 70,000 to flood Ekka tomorrow

Brisbane show-goers can take heed of some expert tips to make sure they get the most out of the Ekka.

Crowds were smaller today, leading to less lining up, better seats and easier access.

But still, the Ekka's James Kemp said there were ways to cut your waiting time.

Early in the morning, it can be just a five minute wait to get into the popular Animal Nursery.

"In the peak periods it might take you 20, 25 minutes," Mr Kemp said.

Tuesday's smaller crowd was the calm before the storm, with 70,000 expected to pack in for People's Day tomorrow.

RNA CEO encouraged the hungry crowds to head for lunch just before or after the "traditional" times.

"Come early, take your time, get inside the grounds and relax," he said.

People are also urged to check their showbags to make sure everything is there.

Being sun smart is also vital - a hat and sunscreen giving you safe access to the unshaded areas.
