Adelaide rattled by another earthquake as aftershocks continue

A minor earthquake has shaken Adelaide for the second time this month, in what experts believe was an aftershock.

The magnitude 2.8 tremor hit about 7pm near Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills, according to Geoscience Australia.

Experts said a magnitude 3.8 quake recorded in the same area on March 6 was still sending aftershocks across the region.

"There's been quite a number of aftershocks, about 13 to date," said seismologist David Love.

This 2.8 magnitude tremor is the biggest one yet.

It was felt as far north as Gawler and as far south as Meningie, on Lake Alexandrina, and was recorded at 24km deep.

More than 2000 people reportedly felt the tremor, according to Geoscience Australia.
