Earlier parole for jailed Billabong boss Matthew Perrin

Former Billabong boss Matthew Perrin has had six months shaved off his prison sentence but lost an appeal against his fraud conviction.

Perrin has been in jail since January for forging a number of signatures, including that of his then-wife Nicole Bricknell, in order to scam $13.5 million from the Commonwealth Bank.

The 44-year-old, who was sentenced to eight years' jail, will now be eligible to apply for parole in June 2020.
