E-voting, foreign donations in spotlight

Foreign donations to political parties and electronic voting will be looked at by a parliamentary committee.

Special Minister of State Scott Ryan said he would ask the joint standing committee on electoral matters to consider not only the conduct of the 2016 federal election, but the use of technology to cast and count votes and ways to regulate foreign donations.

The committee would also be asked to look at overall donations disclosure regime.
