NRL player Dylan Walker charged over alleged assault

Surveillance video shows the moments before NRL player Dylan Walker allegedly tried to get in a random woman's car and assaulted two men.

Walker was charged over an alleged assault at Narraweena on Sydney's northern beaches last night after leaving an Italian restaurant.

Video shows the 26-year-old outside on the street, and he appears to stumble slightly and walks in one direction before turning back and pointing.

He then walks back the way he came from, his arms wide, as if addressing someone out of view of the surveillance camera.

Walker paces up and down the street, appearing to yell at someone.

Police said they were told the 26-year-old left a restaurant on May Road, Narraweena, and tried to get into a woman's car, who he didn't know, which was parked outside.

"When confronted, the man allegedly became aggressive and was allegedly involved in a physical altercation, assaulting two men before fleeing," police said in a statement.

Walker was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with two counts of common assault.

The 26-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear before Manly Local Court on November 18.

The Manly Sea Eagles said the alleged incident has been reported to the NRL integrity unit.

"The Club has reported the incident to the NRL Integrity Unit and will provide ongoing assistance with their investigation," a statement said.
