The immigration minister has ruled out intervening in the case of a Iranian asylum-seeker and former child bride who is being held in detention in Darwin.

Brisbane's Yeronga State High School, where Mojgan Shamsalipoor, 21, completed year 12, mounted a campaign to have her released from detention.

But a spokesman for Peter Dutton, told the ABC the minister had declined to reconsider the case and Ms Shamsalipoor is expected to leave the country because she is not owed protection.
