Drug house found in Sydney's north

A young man will face court after police found more than 150 cannabis plants in a house in Sydney's northern suburbs.

Police said they uncovered around 170 cannabis plants in a raid on the house on Turramurra Avenue at Turramurra on Tuesday.

Police described the find as a "large sophisticated hydroponic cannabis setup" and estimate the street value at almost $350,000.

An illegal electrical diversion was also found by police at the house.

A man, 22, was arrested and has been charged with large commercial enhanced indoor cultivation.

He was refused bail and will face Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday.
