Aussie driver sprung towing mine on rural road
nine.com.au staff
An Australian driver has had a potentially explosive experience on the road, but instead of road rage, it involved a piece of antiquated weaponry.
Darren Plane was driving along a coastal road earlier this week when he noticed a driver ahead of him was towing what appeared to be an old World War II era sea mine.
"There's a car bomb," Mr Plane says to a female companion.

"Should we ring somebody and say, 'there's a car bomb on its way into town'?"
After being scolded for laughing in disbelief, Mr Plane continues to follow the car, albeit at a safe distance.
Video of the brush with military hardware was uploaded to Mr Plane's YouTube account yesterday.
ninemsn has contacted Mr Plane for comment.
