Driver killed as car crushed by truck in Sydney

A person has died in a car and truck crash in Western Sydney.

The car was crushed underneath the truck, which ended up on the opposite side of Mamre Road in Kemps Creek.

The driver of the car - who has not been formally identified - was killed instantly.

The 58-year-old truck driver was treated on the scene and taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.

There are traffic diversions in place.
