Driver in serious condition after car ploughs into home at 3am

Two people have had a lucky escape after a car came crashing through the walls of their Melbourne home around 3 this morning.
The red Barina was travelling down a suburban street in Point Cook, in Melbourne's west, when it lost control and hit a tree.
The car then became airborne, slamming into the lounge room of the two-storey property.

The 21-year-old driver was rushed to hospital in a serious condition
Two occupants of the building were sleeping upstairs at the time of the crash and escaped without injury.
The structural stability of property will be assessed before the car can be removed.
