Driver deliberately rammed off Canberra road

Police in Canberra are hunting the driver of a 4WD who appeared to deliberately ram another car off the road.

Dashcam footage shot just before 3pm on Monday showed a black Toyota Kluger brake and steer into a turning lane on Sulwood Drive in Kambah.

The 4WD edged into the breakdown lane behind a smaller car, then rammed it from the side, causing both vehicles to lose control.

The smaller car kept driving on while the 4WD did a U-turn and headed in the other direction.

ACT Policing is now trying to identify the driver and calling for anybody with additional dashcam footage.

It appears the driver may have deliberately caused the crash because the other car would not give way to let it into the turning lane.
