Driver cut from wreckage after North Sydney bus and car crash

Four people have been taken to hospital after a bus and a car collided in North Sydney.

Emergency services were called to reports a man was trapped inside a vehicle after a crash on Ethel Street in Balgowlah about 8.40am today.

The driver’s door had to be cut from the car before the man, aged in his 50s, could be freed.

He was treated at the scene for injuries to his chest and abdomen before being taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNS).

Three other people involved in the crash were taken to RNS and Manly Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

It is understood the bus and a car crashed, and the bus then hit a third car parked on the side of the road.
