Two Coffs Harbour motorists face drink driving with kids charges

Coffs Harbour police have charged two people after they were allegedly caught drink driving with young children in their cars.

A 28-year-old woman and P2 driver are accused of driving while more than three times over the alcohol limit with a six-month-old girl in her car when she almost crashed in the early hours of Sunday at a Coffs Harbour fast food outlet.

She is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on December 19.

At about 4pm on Sunday police patrolling in Dorrigo stopped a car for a random breath test and a 47-year-old man returned a positive result.

The man, who had three children aged three, six and eight in his car, was later subjected to a breath analysis and allegedly returned a reading of 0.065.

He will be issued a field court attendance for low-range PCA.
