The final witness to give evidence in the second block of sittings for the inquest into the Dreamworld disaster will be the former head of park operations.

Troy Margetts is expected to be grilled all day in the witness stand, about events leading up to the deaths of four tourists on the Thunder River Rapids ride.

He was the manager junior ride operator Courtney Williams said who told her not to speak to police after the tragedy unfolded.

Its a claim he denies.

Former attractions and entertainment boss Andrew Fyfe yesterday gave evidence, blaming "ride operator error" for contributing to the disaster, despite being tasked with ensuring those same operators know what to do in an emergency.

"I believe it was a combination of factors. I believe that there was operator error that's my professional opinion… and in hindsight… there was recommendations that some additional mechanical controls could've been put in place," Mr Fyfe told the inquest.

The inquest will adjourn at the end of the day, and will resume next month for a further two weeks of hearings.
