Two men have been charged after police officers and dogs swarmed an allegedly drug-filled home in Sydney last night.

The men, aged 20 and 22, have been charged with cultivating more than a commercial quantity of prohibited drug, and taking part in enhanced cultivation of cannabis.

They were arrested outside the home on Burwood Road in Croydon Park last night, after police were called to a disturbance at the property about 6pm.

Police saw the men leaving the home and deployed dogs when one of them allegedly tried to flee.

9NEWS video shows a man running down a street before being forced to the ground by dogs and officers.

Police then searched the home and allegedly found cannabis plants and a hydroponic set-up.

A neighbour told 9NEWS it was "scary" that the home allegedly contained a drug set-up.

"I saw many people coming out from the house but I had no idea what went on, and I called the neighbour and they said there must be drug-dealing going on," she said.

Both men have been refused bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court later today.
