Man arrested over 32-year-old cold-case murder

Police have charged a man over the 1986 murder of Melbourne nurse Ina-Doris Warrick.
Cold case detectives arrested a 63-year old Bairnsdale man today over the fatal stabbing.
The 25-year-old nurse was attacked in her Ringwood home on March 21, 1986.

Homicide Squad Detective Inspector Tim Day said in a statement: “Cold case detectives have continued to investigate the case over the years, as with any unsolved homicide the case is never closed.
The good work done by homicide investigators over a 30-year period, culminated in today’s arrest”.
The man will be charged with one count of murder, and is to appear before the Bairnsdale Magistrates’ Court today.
